TEA hails stimulus measures – Fibre2Fashion

Tiruppur Exporters Affiliation (TEA) has welcomed the announcement of fifteen diverse measures by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman these days. TEA president Raja M Shanmugam specially thanked the minister for revising the definition of micro, little and medium enterprises (MSMEs) linking with additional conditions of annual revenue turnover.

Of the fifteen measures announced these days at a press meeting, 6 measures are for the advantage of MSMEs, 2 are associated to Worker Provident Fund, and three are direct tax associated.

TEA president thanked Primary Minister Narendra Modi, Union finance minister and Union minister of state for finance for laying out in depth eyesight to spur expansion and make Self-reliant India (Aatma Nirbhar Bharat).

Shanmugam appreciated collateral free automated mortgage for regular MSMEs, Subordinate Credit card debt for stressed MSMEs, and Fairness infusion for MSMEs by way of Fund of Resources.

JIAM 2020 Osaka postponed – Fibre2Fashion


Due to rapid spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Japan Sewing Machinery Manufactures Association (JASMA) has announced postponement of JIAM 2020 Osaka until 2022 or later. JIAM 2020 Osaka, which was originally scheduled to take place from May 20-23, 2020 at Intex Osaka, is the leading tradefair for apparel machinery and textile industry.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, on February 26, prime minister Shinzo Abe called for large scale sports and cultural events be postponed or cancelled for a two-week period.

“Although JIAM 2020 Osaka does not fall within the Prime Minister’s restrictions, we have nonetheless come to a difficult decision to postpone the show after serious discussions among the committee. As the prospects to curtail the new coronavirus are uncertain, we have prioritised the health and safety of our participants,” said Shigemi Mima, chairman of the JIAM 2020 executive committee.
